MareLube TEF 45™ is a premium synthetic grease specifically engineered for high-load, extreme-pressure, anti-corrosion, anti-seize, and bi-metal barrier applications. Its unique formulation contains 45% sub-micron PTFE (Teflon®) powder suspended in a completely waterproof synthetic grease, delivering exceptional lubrication and long-lasting protection in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
The advanced formula creates a durable PTFE film on metal surfaces, reducing friction and wear while providing outstanding protection against corrosion. Its highly adhesive, waterproof composition seals out water and electrolytes, making it ideal for protecting metal components exposed to the harshest marine conditions.
The high PTFE content also makes TEF 45™ an excellent solution for preventing galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. Applied before assembly, it leaves a protective PTFE layer between threaded and mating surfaces, effectively preventing seizing and galling, even after years of service.
Unlike conventional greases, TEF 45™ contains no volatile solvents, silicones, or petroleum, so it will not evaporate, dry out, or cold flow over time. It also acts as a parting lubricant, making future disassembly significantly easier.
TEF 45™ is also suitable for electrical connections, functioning as an excellent dielectric grease. It protects electrical terminals from corrosion without increasing electrical resistance, as the synthetic grease and PTFE microparticles are displaced from the actual contact points during assembly while continuing to seal the surrounding areas against moisture and contaminants.
