Barton Winch Self-Tailing, Large
A specially designed rubber fitting that fits over the top of conventional winches, converting them into self-tailing winches.
The Barton Wincher features a tried-and-tested design that has been a firm favourite among sailors for many years.
It grips the rope when the winch drum is fully loaded and the rope is under tension. As the winch rotates, the rope is gradually released from the underside of the Wincher, providing a self-tailing action.
The rope is secured by placing it into the Wincher’s ribbed central groove.
SPECIFICATIONS
Fits winch drum diameters of 80–90 mm.
Suitable for rope diameters of 12–14 mm.
Example compatible winch models: Antal W42. Lewmar 42, 43 (new). Barient 22, 26.
