Forespar Marelon Ball Valve 1/2″

These Forespar ball valves feature NPS straight (parallel) threads at each end and are designed to be fitted with straight-thread thru-hull or pipe fittings.

Straight threads are not “self-sealing.” You must use pipe joint compound, thread seal compound, or Teflon® tape to seal the threads when making connections.*

An advantage of parallel threads over tapered threads, however, is that they allow maximum engagement between mating threads, providing an exceptionally strong connection.

These valves are made of exceptionally strong, fiberglass-reinforced Marelon®. Marelon is both electrically and chemically inactive, offering key benefits for marine applications:
